Hello everyone. First off nice software, I stumbled upon it today and don't think I will ever let it go. The ease in customization is just what I needed. With that said on to the question...

Does anyone here have a PunBB board that is deeply crawled by Google? I am curious to see how this software does with Google and other search engines before I use it in a production environment.

Clam AV and Spyware Terminator

I would like to know if anyone here has ever tried Spyware Terminator with its integrated antivirus program Clam AV?

I have changed my antivirus program from Avast Home to ST as I feel it to be performing better.

I would really appreciate any comment on this.

svchost.exe and/or spoolsv.exe uses 45% CPU

Have 3 desktops with same MB, CPU, Mem, Win XP pro SP3. One unit has 45% cpu uage constantly while other 2 have 2% usage. With "process explorer" can suspend either svchost or spoolsv to get CPU usage down to 2%. Spoolsv is only in "system32 folder", all pending file printing is cancelled. Ad Aware, AVG 9.0, malwarebyte, PCtool spyware doctor, have ben run without finding anything. Unit locks up after long period of idle. Reboot required to have normal function.

Have HJT files ready.

Anyone got a clue?

Compressing CSS and JS

Can it cause any problems letting the httpd server compress CSS and JS files, or should they as a matter of course be compressed?

Now I'm reading wiki pages on how to create my own style and do some modifications on the forums.

I have been witnessing this problem since on month..

i have my website which has this punbb forum installed.. the problem i faced is.. whenever i open my forum it automatically redirects to some adult website.. the virus deletes the index.php and redirects it to some adult website automatically.. then i again have to copy index file ..then then problem is solved..then after some times this problem repeats.. please tell me the solution.. i m worried..

Please recommend a good host

I know this question must have been asked a million times but there are so many responses in the previous posts that it is hard to select which is good. So many people say that so many hosts are the best but I am picky. I believe that 24/7/365 support should be as it says. I have tried AQ Host which was actually the best I've had so far. I had to drop them because the previous owner sold it over to a few guys that have turned it into a nightmare. I am currently with Voda Host and the support is terrible and usually takes 2 to 3 days for a response. I just signed up with another new host called: website source and although I was told that their support is suppose to be excellent, I am still waiting to see this. Not to mention, their shared hosting speed is sort of slow in my opinion.

I am sure there MUST be a great host out there with reasonable prices, great support and fast servers. I have yet to find one. It seems like I have absolutely no luck in finding a good reliable host. Can someone please, please recommend a hosting company. I honestly don't mind paying more because I've learned that the more they offer for less is usually a good indicator that the service sucks.

Please help me test this. I've got a few ideas for extensions based on it, but would first like a rough idea of how accurate the database it uses is.

Bots? Theres is an website that spam your forums?

I keep getting these people who sign up with the email: xxxxxx@mail.ru or something but they all spam the same thing about some website or something! There user name matchs frist part of email and theres tons of them i keep delting the people/bots like that but they allows sign up with new email new name Same SPAM!
