Topic: All I want is the Last Topic on the Homepage!

Hello all,

I am new to punBB, having just taken over www.cssdiscussion.com which uses punBB. I had never previously come across punBB and I have to say that I am very happy with the application as a whole. Especially the light weight, yet perfectly functional approach. Add to this the community and ready ability to customise it through plug-ins, mod and personal hacking.

On the final point, personal hacking, I have been trying to output the latest topic from each forum on the homepage. Needless to say, I have not had any joy. I have tried extending the SQL query to include the topics table, database errors. I have tried adding a new function to perform a subquery, subquery appears to over write the homepage population query.

Can any one give me some advice on how to implement this small forum modification?

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I was already so close to getting this myself. I had arranged the SQL statement incorrectly. Live and learn, etc. Regardless, you are a life saver!
