Unfortunately no one can be told what PunBB is - you have to see it for yourself.

To change someones user group you must go into their profile and administration. However the admin may not be the main admin with the user id of 2.
Hey Utchin,
thanks for the quick response..
I looked in administration and don't see it... There is no '1' user on the forum, it says:
Bad request. The link you followed is incorrect or outdated., (when I try to go to link to the first profile), only profile 2 works...
So what should I do? Thanks.
User 2, this user cannot be removed. Are you trying to remove it?
No, the admin I am trying to remove is user 4...
I am user 2, there is no user 1.
I'm also struggling with this one. the admin trying to de-admin is user 42.

The quick and simple method is to just change their group_id directly via the DB. That shouldn't be necessary if everything is functioning as expected, however, so that is only an interim method suggestion. ![]()

I am new to this...
Where can I access the database? Thanks.

Use the same method of accessing it as you used when you initially created the database to install Pun. I'm assuming you most likely have some web interface thing like CPanel or suchlike.
1. Go to: Administration » Users » Searches
2. Find your user and select
3. Press "change group" and assign new group
