Topic: Antispam System doesn't work.

Hello,

I am new here and I don't know if I set this topic on the right place.

I have a question about the Antispam System (CAPTCHA) because it doesn't work.

When a new user want to register than he doens't see the letters which he must typ in to can register, you see only a ''?".

I have a Mac and I tryed it with Safari and Firefox and by both in don't work.

My English is not so best because I'am dutch, sorry for that.

pun_antispam displays the text you have to type as an image. Did you mean that image contained question marks? Could you give us the link to your forum, please?

Yes I mean the image with a question mark, and there should be stand a few letters to make the account.

There is a script in the pun_antispam directory that generates images. It should have the following URL:
http://www.torvoratings.nl/forum/extens … /image.php

And if you open this URL you'll see an error page. Maybe this file is missing. Try to upload and overwrite pun_antispam files into extensions directory.

I have the very same problem with this extension.

If you try to load the image.php file directly, you get 404 error indeed. Still, the file is there. Should that somehow be related to file permissions?

In any case, in the source of the registration page I get a reference to the image like

<img src="http://example.com/forum/extensions/pun_antispam/image.php?c469563622892b89a9c6300ea1ffd062" alt="">

...but no image is loaded.

Yeah, we use to upload plugin from FTP and it works.

I have a similar problem with the pun_antispam extension. However mine doesn't seem to be caused by a permission issue. Instead, I get a message like: "Image ".../pun_antispam/image.php" can't be displayed because it contains errors".

I can't find why the image.php script doesn't work for me. Here's my php info.

Try to install the latest version of pun_antispam (1.3.3).

Hi,

With the 1.3.3 version it's totaly impossible to register on my forum.
After the form register validation, i've this error :

Fatal error: Call to undefined function utf8_strcasecmp() in /media/300go/site_goldzone_web/forum/register.php(110) : eval()'d code on line 17

also installed 1.3.3 and i got the same error ! No registration possible !!

This bug has been fixed and the new version (1.3.4) of pun_antispam has been released.

I still have the same problem I had, even with version 1.3.4. No image displayed whatsoever. Are there any other known causes for this issue?
