Topic: Pasting from Word

A user reports:

I posted in some text from Word, but when I clicked Submit, it just refreshed the text editing page and lost the text. When I type directly in the box, I can post, and then I can go back and edit the post afterwards by pasting in the material.

The problem seems to be intermittent and/or related to number of linebreaks (he is posting poetry. Up to 7/8 lines is fine, above this produces the problem.)

Any ideas?

An example would help. Did this happen just once or all the time?

Further information from user:

In fact it's worse with prose - it hardly accepted any of my sample
paragraphs. I've tried replying to threads in various forums, and always get
the same problem. It seems to happen pretty consistently. But everything
worked fine when I tried it with a new topic.

.

So, the process goes:

1. Type a chunk of text in Word with paragraphs/linebreaks
2. Copy to clipboard
3. On the PunBB forum, Reply to Topic
4. Paste in copied text
5. Click [submit]
6. Editing page refreshes, text disappears.

He is on XP/Internet Explorer. I can't reproduce the error on OSX/Safari.

Re: Pasting from Word

I am that user.

The problem doesn't occur with Mozilla Firefox, if that's any help.

Re: Pasting from Word

Is anyone else able to replicate this problem, as a favour?
