Topic: Sorry, but more help :P

Im really sorry but I have yet another question.

I would like to put a hit counter in my footer.  So I opened up my footer.php file and I see where to put it but I cant get it to work well.

Ok so here is my counter (also, can you change the background color to a gray color so it matches my skin?  or on a linked counter can you not change that?)

Anyways, here is the link.

http://c6.amazingcounters.com/counter.p … ;c=3881272

Now they give me this code.

<div align="center"><a href="http://www.amazingcounters.com"><img border="0" src="http://c6.amazingcounters.com/counter.php?i=1293653&c=3881272" alt="Web Statistics"></a><br><small><a href="http://www.alldvdrentals.com"><font color="#999999">DVD Rentals</font></a></small></div>

Now when I put the code in my footer, I can get it to line up but before the footer itself it shows this <

Maybe im putting this in the wronge place but im placing this code right above

<p class="conr">Powered by <a href="http://punbb.org/">PunBB</a><?php if ($pun_config['o_show_version'] == '1') echo ' '.$pun_config['o_cur_version']; ?><br />© Copyright 2002–2005 Rickard Andersson</p>

is this the wronge place?  I can understand php to some extent so dont laugh at me cause I dont know sh*t tongue

Thanks for helping me this far

Re: Sorry, but more help :P

That seemed to work fine on my test forum?

You should change the `<br>` to `<br />` though (because PunBB uses XHTML).

Re: Sorry, but more help :P

A long time ago I joined to the Columbia House record club.

You remember those ads that you got like 9 albums for a penny, and then just had to buy another 9 to fulfill your commitment. Then after that, for every album you bought you'd get one free, the icing on the cake.

Somehow, I must of not read the fine print, cause after I reached my commitment, I kept sending back the monthly cards stating I wasn't interested in anything they had that month. I did this for a few months until the cards stopped coming in the mail. I called them up and found out that you had to buy something every so often or they dropped you from the club.

To make a long story short, they screwed me, big time, I'll never forget that.

Ok, I got it, dreamweaver was messing it up.  Also hcgtv, I read the disclaimer on the amazingcounters site and I dont see anything about them putting me on mailing lists, and all that stuff.

My encounter with Columbia House was in the early 1980's, I still hold a grudge wink
