Topic: © and Copyright

© Copyright 2002?2005 Rickard Andersson looks correct, but it isn't. A teacher taught me, we can use 2 ways:

1. ©2002?2005 Rickard Andersson
2. Copyright 2002?2005 Rickard Andersson

Don't make © and Copyright together, © = copyright.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Copyright

Use of a copyright notice ? consisting of the letter C inside of a circle (that is, "©"), the abbreviation "Copr.", or the word "Copyright", followed by the year of the first publication of the work and the name of the copyright holder ? was part of previous United States statutory requirements.

So Rickard is actually doing it "right" tongue

Re: © and Copyright

was part of previous United States statutory requirements. <--- and that means what to the world as a whole. wink

Nothing, but as Paul said in the topic in Bugs, Rickard doesn't even need to put the copyright in technically tongue

Re: © and Copyright

Its verrrrry relevant, because the United States thinks it owns the internets.

I liked the announcement by Bush that you "can't annoy people online without disclosing your identity" and other such nonsense.

On my site I just say "Licensed under Creative Commons Licence" or something close to that and its a link yikes

Re: © and Copyright

Meowmeow, I know that you're just trying to help, but in the end it really doesn't make a difference if you use the symbol, the word, or both at once. Like Smartys said, even if there was no notice at all, PunBB would still be Rickard's intellectual property, unless he specifically released it into the public domain. Unless Rickard feels some compelling reason to change things, the way it is now is fine.
