this doesn't affect the look of the forum but only makes it possible for the user to change the color of texts in his/her post. Just like when I turn this text orange.

See the BBCode help-section: [color]...

This might sound like something way obsolete,  but might be a good thing to have a note about in the help page.
Since the fact that the color code [ color=#RRGGBB] is converted to HTML it is quite natral to use color namese instead of color codes for those forum users who are unfamiliar with such. Therefore I would insist to put a line just before the red-text line which says:

Green text produces Green text

Only requires one line in help.php and another line in en_help.php.

(I've done this in my forum..)

yes... exactly ("omröstning").. I delete the poll and create a new one in the same thread. (sorry for the fuzziness).
Even tried to change the question-string, but it didn't help.
The old data doesn't seem to be cleared out from the database.

Funny... as I make a "re-poll" The values doesn't seem to be properly resetted... hmm
(The guys on my forum didn't understand it was a multipoll so I removed the poll and created it anew).

Jahaaa!! *duh* http://www.smyrnakyrkan.se/punbb/upload/img/smilies/blah.png

Another thing:
It seems impossible to remove a poll or reset a poll.... That would be a good thing to be able to do... wouldn't it?
So any ideas to implement this in the next version (or any hints on how to add such a feature?)

I think it might be a little bit early to say,, but it is possible that the number of posts vill increase at the beginning of the semester.
Keep also in mind that the exam period is a perfect time to escape to a forum wink

ok then roll big_smile

...do ya know how I should do if I want to increase the number of answers then...? How should I alter the database tables?... I figure it is not a matter only to alter the number "8" to "10" in the install-script..., right?...

How does one proceed in order to extend the number of answer alternatives... I would at least like to have 10 answers to choose from.

Another thing.. it seems like the "edit poll info"-box doesn't work. Nothing happens when i check it. Well I get a short glimpse of an error notice: "Fel på sidan" in the browser statusbar.

Well, it seemed like that when the actual characters ] and > were used... the tag would look like this (with the case of the smiley ]:))

...
<img src="smiley.png" width="15" height="15" alt="]
...

it seems like it tries to use "]" as a end-tag character..

Wouldn't it be possible to force the admin to use html-characters in the smiley_text-array instead? Could that be a solution for this "special case"?
Like:
>:(   for an angry smiley  >:(

oh.. thx!

Will you upgrade the mod with this? (I haven't installed it just yet yikes)).

For example... the smiley ]:) would appear like this:

Hi.... You might have seen this problem before..
My smileys contain characters like ] > and < and this seems to mess up the smilies by putting an "> -string right after the smiley-icon for some of the smileys, but not necessarliy those which contain these symbols. After a lot of experimenting I've located the source of the error (I think) to the ALT-attribute in the IMAGE-tag for the smiley icons. It seems like the ALT-attribute is truncated at the first dbl-quote character and thus autumatically tries to complete the string with "> which is then unfortunately displayed in those posts.
By removing the $smiley_text[$i] part in the ALT-attribute the problem ceased to haunt me. I change was made in the file parser.php at line 284 for me, but it ought to be about 10 rows (or so) higher up for most people. It is inside the do_smileys($message) -function.

So... could this give rise to any problems as a result of this change?
If so... is there any other means to get rid of this annoying problem?
