i don't have internet at home anymore since my move(at work now) or i would spend my free time on google trying to help myself, but i need some tutorials(the more indepth the better) on how to set up a win2003 box to host a sql/php based public site. i would like to get it up and ready so i can have it open when i finally do get net access to it. much appreciated.

i'd use it for sure. go for it.

i would suggest to EXCLUDE the profile.php also so as to not allow bots to collect emails also.  just a suggestion.

suggestion for this one would be to add a color pallette for each of the sections of the css to select the color you want and have a "save as" feature to out put the .css file for you. or maybe a stand alone app maybe? i know this would jump start my want to make my own css.

LOL!

i second the PHP-Fusion one. it is very fast and easily customized and very easy to administer.

oh how i would be so grateful for that.

Not sure how to package it up though...

If anyone wants, I can supply the modified files... should be able to copy over the top of a fresh install right? big_smile

that would be great. you can email it to me at admin@forgamers-bygamers.com if you could be so kind(or just post a link). this will speed up my project site that will be using punbb a whole lot. much appreciated.

Very nice. I'm sure people will use this. I won't include it in the default install though (I hate favicons and have disabled them completely via Ad Muncher).

LOL ok then. wink

kinda like the way snitz has it set, admins can't edit admin's accounts but can edit mods and below.

Admins can't edit admins? That can't be right.

no but the main admin can so it equals it out i guess. never really needed to edit an admin myself so i don't miss it.

and lean mean core.... PHP-Fusion

this CMS is super fast and has a boat load of features to make managing content a snap.

i got an error stating that mybb.threads table was missin so i stopped. i'll give it a try tomorrow.

it looks good tho. the official forums run pretty fast and seems to be pretty lean. BUT it's no punbb. wink
