I've already tried extracting the file and still it appears as encryped. I've uploaded the file to my site. If anyone could take a peak at it I would greatly greatly greatly appreciate it.

I tried opening the .SQL file with Wordpad and notepad, but it's encrypted I believe.

I've only ever seen the error once, and other than that every time I try to update the DB it doesn't finish updating and the browser just becomes non-responsive.

I don't know exactly, but it's just not going through. And this isn't the first time I've had a problem with the DB Management feature. It just doesn't work properly. I don't remember who, but someone had to look into the DB .SQL file I had and edit it around just so it'd work.

I was surfing punres.org recently, and noticed a modded "super pack" of PunBB v 1.2.5, and it had all the mods I wanted to put on. I figured what the heck, saved my DB and original files, and then wiped the server clean and installed the modded version of PunBB. Turns out, whoever did it, did a horrible job, because the Private Messaging mod kept screaming with errors. I decided to wipe everything clean, and re upload my original files. I tried to import my DB via the DB Management add on, but that didn't work. I remembered someone here telling me to use PHPmyAdmin and importing there, so I tried, and still nothing. I'm gonna need some help for this...

Not sure what the problem is, but everytime I install this mod, I get "unable to fetch topic list" when trying to open forums. I can't say if there are any other errors, as that one preceeds anything else.

Do you think it could have anything to do with the version of PunBB? And also, if I were to have to use phpmyadmin, is there a line of code or something that I would need to input in order to use the .sql file? Oh yes, I also changed the name of the forum MySQL database, will that affect it?

I know little, if anything, about phpmyadmin.. >.<

Just tried it, I keep on getting the same error. sad

I had mods on my forum before, but they aren't exactly compatible with 1.2.5, so I didn't put them on. Please to God don't tell me that I need them in order to have my forums working.

I made a backup of my forum before wiping it completely clean. I installed a fresh 1.2.5, and then put the plugins in. I attempted to restore my backup, and all I keep getting is this:

Error imported backup file, the database probably has not been restored

What the hell!

Chacmool, when you get the chance could you look into these errors? I have a new one for ya.

Notice: Undefined index answers in /path to forums/include/punpoll/edit_save.php on line 10

This error occurs when I edit a post I make, although it doesn't seem to negatively affect the editting of the code or anything.

Error: Unable to save poll.

I keep getting this error, any idea what it may be?

I have no idea what happened, but I've been conducting more Test Polls, and they all seem to work. If you happen to find any reason why the above error would occur, please let me know.

**Note**
I was just doing some random polls, and it seems that when I make the polls random (i.e. adfadf) I get this error. Maybe the polls can't have a large amount of characters?

Sorry, but that doesn't tell me anything except things I am not sure I understand completely.

I have downloaded the necessary zip file to upgrade to 1.2.3, however I noticed that the instructions are based solely on overwriting your existing files, which I will not do as I do not plan on losing all of the MODs I have installed just to upgrade. Is there another way to upgrade that does not involve losing the entirety of your MODs?

I have one last quick question, I noticed that punbb.org's forum has it's main site linked right before the Index page. Where do I edit my forum so that I may do the same?

I just found that thread, however, I am using phpMyAdmin and I don't know how to change id 1 to have a group id of 3. Do you know how, and if so, could you tell me?
