It would be great if you could make it insert a thumbnail picture in the post automaticly instead of opening a new window with the image
This is the closest to my request for a gallery so far, maybe it will become one in the end?

Look att the attachment extension, it has the fields for adding a attachment right below the box were you write the text for the post.

1. The image post field should be above the previos posts in the topic that you see when you make a new post.
2. When editing a post the image uplod field is missing.

There is one gallery for 1.3 but the author wrote that its not a good extention and we should not use it so i wounder if anyone is going to make a gallery extention?
