just a anti-spam question on registration form.
i installed a spamwords plugin which created words you don't wanna posted, if somebody posting a "spam word", they will give notice "it contain spamword %%".. the post wouldn't be posted.

I do suggest you remain the original url. coz i'm ever using a url rewrite mod..it sucks.and after you install it, you can not moderating forum topics.(http bad reffer).

i'm holding a punbb forum and expereienced with attack i think ,because i feel it's so slow i even can not open one page,after i close my forum or change it to mainteance mode,then the site got fast again!
so i think i am in problem.dud

useless. you just try to make a new index.php page for your forum ,then named the original index.php to forums.php
make some adjust to files. so you could redesign your index page but not using a plugin

i hold a punbb based forum but i don't think there user or admin could upload files except avatars

that's hard to do.perhaps given up one.
I doubt if there is a sub forum feature with pun1.2,if you are with "sub forum" modification or plugin,i didn't suggest you uprade 1.3
it's a advanced step for punbb
punbb could works with firefox. if your client couldn't work,just clear all private data.
