I want to make my forum, BIK3R.COM, a certain width rather than a percentage.

I've had a quick play, but I couldn't do it successfully. Could anyone tell me what I have to edit to make the entire forum an exact pixel width?

Ta!

Thank you. This has now been installed on BIK3R.COM.

BIK3R.COM is a UK based biking forum run by a few friends.

It's running punBB 1.2.11 and I have modified it quite a lot, but I still have a long way to go.

Has anyone written a modification to fix this?

I really dislike it.

If not, I'll do it.

If I read a topic, and then go back to the index page, it still says the post I just read is unread.

Anyone got any idea why?

They won't make security any less strict apparantly.

It looks like I'm changing hosts then. Great.

I dunno. It's a completely standard version of punBB, apart from a few tiny modifcations that wouldn't effect it.

Whenever I try to make a thread in "Media", called "New R6 Wheelies", with the following content:

Bare in mind, this is Tony's first attempt at wheelieing his R6, and this is my 2nd go on the bike (I only had 2 attempts, and they were both pretty special. tongue)

I get this error message:

Done... For some reason, when I cleared the cache DIR, the URL was auto on "http://"

I'm trying to post a topic, but I keep getting 500 server errors still... sad Help!

Just an example.

Now I can't even post, or do nearly anything without 500 server errors.

Worked fine on my Windows box, but I recently uploaded punBB to my server and I'm having problems.

I forgot to change the Base URL, so I went into Options to change it, and it gives me a 500 error. I CHMOD the cache DIR to 777 and it allowed me to change the base URL to "www.google.com" (I know I needed "http://www.google.com"). It worked. I thought all was good.

I tried to change it to "http://www.google.com" and it gave me a 500 error again. If I put "http://", it errors.

I thought "Oh well, I'll edit it via phpMyAdmin" - I changed it via phpMyAdmin, but it won't update on the options page.

I'm still getting 500 errors.

Any idea?

I like being able to link an image. For example:

[img]http://www.google.co.uk/intl/en_uk/images/logo.gif[/img]

If you do that code, it does this:

http://www.google.co.uk/intl/en_uk/images/logo.gif

You can do it on like every forum system, apart from punBB.

Is there any modifications to allow this?

EDIT: It worked... Maybe it's because the URL and IMG tags are lower case. Test:

EDIT 2: Weird. punBB converted it to lowercase URL and IMG tags. I converted my forum from phpBB to punBB, so I suppose the converting function never worked. I guess I'll have to manually edit the posts that have uppercase BBCode tags.

Cheers for your... errr... help.
