Re: How do I stop forum from resizing?

I know how to change the width already. I need to make it a fixed width.

Heres my css.

Maybe if I change this:
#punwrap { width:700px; margin:12px auto }

to
#punwrap { width:700px; margin:12px}
?

Re: How do I stop forum from resizing?

You'll have to be a bit more detailed in what you're asking, because the directions FSX gave you are instructions to make your forum fixed-width.

Looking for a certain modification for your forum? Please take a look here before posting.

Re: How do I stop forum from resizing?

Okay, so I followed those directions and its still not working. Any idea of what to try next?

Re: How do I stop forum from resizing?

Click website in my left post profile. You will see that when you scroll the window, no matter what browser you are using (unless you have a browser that does not support css, which is highly unlikely) the forum changes width to fit the window.

Re: How do I stop forum from resizing?

1. You didn't follow the instrucitons properly. If you check your css statement for #punwrap you will find it is invalid.

2. This is in your css which is overriding the fixed width
BODY #punwrap {
margin:auto;
width: 82%;

Basically, you tried to make the board a fixed width with one css statement and then have another css statement which tells it to be a percentage width.

Re: How do I stop forum from resizing?

#punwrap { width:700px auto
}

That's how it looks now. Still not working. I think I should have kept part of the HTML, BODY in but idk.. ?

Re: How do I stop forum from resizing?

No, it should say #punwrap {width: 700px; margin:auto}. What you currently have is invalid and meaningless.

You also need to remove the percentage width from the css I gave you previously. I've tried it by editing your css in Firefox and it works fine.

Re: How do I stop forum from resizing?

I think I am either missing something or doing something improperly

/****************************************************************/
/* 5. VERTICAL AND PAGE SPACING */
/****************************************************************/

/* 5.1 Page margins */

#punwrap { width: 700px; margin:auto
}
/* 5.2 Creates vertical space between main board elements (Margins) */ ...

Re: How do I stop forum from resizing?

Did you remove BODY #punwrap {width: 82% ...} which for some reason is in your colour scheme file sheet?

Until you do your board will be set at 82%.
