PunBB reported: Unable to connect to MySQL server. MySQL reported: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (2)

That's a hosting issue, sounds like MySQL isn't running properly

I've just purchased some web space, and a domain name from godaddy, so I can setup a forum using PunBB.

But for some reason it doesn't want to install.

Server specs are:

PHP 4.3.11
Apache/1.3.33

I have had past experience using IPB.

In the installation documents it makes no mention about CHMOD (spl?), is it required? I have not touched anything, just drag & dropped using SmartFTP.
