It is a good practice to first list down what you really need / expect from your web host before jumping into an offer, and make sure you do personally check them out (i.e. send your own questions to them and go through their replies) before committing. This can reduce the chances of falling into a not so suitable web host and needed to hop around different web hosts before settling down to one that fits you.

Think of it like NTL (now Virgin Media) ((aUK broadband supplier)). You will find sites created... that hate and loath this company. But I have been a happy customer for over 4 years now. Not one problem and down time is impossible to notice. Eventhough all that hatred I would still recommend them to anyone in the UK. tongue
