PunBB 1.3 has a hotfix system. Hotfixes are released as fast as possible after security bugs are reported.

I'm currently using PunBB 1.3.2 in my open source project and it works pretty good. It is 5 times faster that phpbb and its easier to configure. PunBB 1.3.2 has two or three hot fixes that must be applied after you have install it as soon as possible.

The problem with PunBB 1.3.2 is that there are some plugin or extension that are not suitable for it, like CAPTCHA and some others. But it is very safe o use.

I don't wanna use 1.2, cause I its not my cup of tea.
I have asked on the FluxBB forum, they advised me to use 1.2 or wait for 1.4, not use 1.3 (legacy).

But I really like 1.3

My question is, if I need a forum now (1.3), should I go for FluxBB 1.3 legacy, or PunBB 1.3.2?
Wich will be best supported in the future? What about safety? Hackers etc?


Please help me in the right direction.
