If you use HTML output, edit the line 272 of /extern.php. It should look like:

echo 'Topic '.$subject_truncated.' Posted by '.$item['author']['name'].' ('.gmdate('d/m/Y', $item['pubdate']).')
'."\n";

I use extern.php for last post in my index of website but i want "USER" AND "DATE POSTED" with subject
