Topic: I am recieving a write error and not able to solve it

I am getting this error:

Error: Unable to write configuration cache file to cache directory. Please make sure PHP has write access to the directory 'cache'.

I have verified that is has "user" write privileges.  Do I need to make it fully open?

Are you sure the user Apache is running has has write permissions for the folder? If so, delete any config files in it and see if the issue goes away.
