Topic: Spam Limiting with Custom Question?

Hi.  I run a punbb forum which (like most) has a very specific topic.  We're getting nailed with about 10 new users (spammers but not bots) every day.. The captcha keeps out the bots but not these random guys. So we thought there might be a way to implement a custom question specific to our forum subject (an underground surf-sport) but we were hoping to add something like this for our punbb:

Ok. So I checked out that mod (finally), and there were a few differences.  I am a php noob, so maybe Im missing something obvious.  It says that the file to mod is 'register.php' - I don't have a register.php file, but rather a 'usercp_register.php' file that has some different elements.. I tried the mod, but of course I got all sorts of parse errors etc.. Any tips?

Am I mssing something really obvious?

Are you sure you have PunBB? That sounds like phpBB.
