Topic: Cant Ban Members

Hi smile

I receive the following error when trying to ban a member of the board:

An error was encountered
Error: Unable to write bans cache file to cache directory. Please make sure PHP has write access to the directory 'cache'.

I have set the cache directory to 777 but still receive the error. I'm running Punbb 1.2.15.

I ban the user and it shows up under the Admins "Bans" page, but the user is still able to login. I've changed his email address and password for now preventing him logging in but worried the site could become overrun with trolls if they know we cant ban members (which is why I'd rather not post the URL for now).

Any suggestions?

Try deleting the PHP files in the cache directory.
