Topic: Admin disappeared

The admin of our club's website has disappeared, no chance of contacting him. He installed the PunBB forum which does need some maintenance. Any chance of accessing the forum as admin or do I have to re-install it from scratch? Thxs for your advise!

You need to have access to the database and change your account group to the admin one.

but isn't that the catch 22, in order to access the database I need admin rights, or?

Db access controls are totally separate from PunBB's access controls.
