Topic: Update from 1.2.12 to 1.3

1) Will update script for future 1.3 be able to update from any 1.2.x version?

2) If not, does this mean that I have to do this in steps: 1.2.12 -> 1.2.13 -> 1.2.14 -> ... -> 1.3 ??

3) If yes, it would probably be easier to just completely re-install PunBB. But then the question: How do I convert the 1.2.12 database into 1.3 format? Will that imply the steps of 2) point?

1. Yes. Honestly, I can't remember what database changes we've done in 1.2 -> 1.2.16, but checking for them and applying them if needed in the 1.3 update script should be easy.

The 1.3 update script will convert your 1.2.12 database without problems. Essentially, you could just upload the 1.3 files, paste your config.php from 1.2 into the 1.3 folder and run the update script.

I will wait until final release of 1.3 and then will update from my 1.2.
