Would it be possible to go back to the topic after clicking the Cancel button rather than going to the forum view?

Yes, Cancel should behave like history.go(-1), but it shouldn't depend on JavaScript.

Didn't I already post somewhere that some of the cancel buttons are just placeholders awaiting backend iimplementation.
