Topic: Hiding categories/forums from unregistered users

Hello!

I installed punBB few minutes ago on a host. I configured the most - not all. My Linux distribution "Arch Linux" is using it, so I decided to test it and I really like it yikes)

The only problem: Unregistered users can read/write in forum which are handled as "internal". Is there a option for it?

Thanks in advance. yikes)

Re: Hiding categories/forums from unregistered users

You can change the forum permissions through the admin panel.

Yes, I know. Thanks for you reply. I can not find this option, which is it?

Re: Hiding categories/forums from unregistered users

Click on the administration navlink. Click on the Forums link in the admin menu. Click the Edit link for the forum whose permissions you want to edit.

Re: Hiding categories/forums from unregistered users

Yep, I configured this. But there is no permission option for unregistered users, only for users which are assigned to groups. I have only a guest account which will be assigned to fresh registered users.

Where exactly can I handle unregistered users? If it's on the forum administration too, please tell me where.

Re: Hiding categories/forums from unregistered users

There is a Guests group, which is used by user ID 1, which is used by all unregistered users.
Every user is assigned to a group.

Ah, thank you. I reinstalled the db, because of group configuration. Now it works, thanks Smartys. yikes)
