Topic: Server unable to upload avatar

Hi guys,

Members are unable to upload avatars... I did it as an administrator though, but a regular account won't. The error: "The server was unable to save the uploaded file. Please contact the forum administrator at [email]"

The folder has write permissions, everything else works and it's allowed in options, so I'm pretty confused.

Ok, actually I gave the folder execute permissions and it worked... but I didn't think it would need that (only for viewing). What am I not understanding?

The way *nix permissions work. big_smile For you to be able to view/write the contents of a directory, the relevant user/group has to have execute permissions on that parent directory.
