Quick bug report:

When displaying the search results as posts, you can see the unparsed content (bb-code).

Thats the way they have always been and its deliberate.

Oh really? Sorry I didn't know, it's kind of a strange behavior to me.. Could you tell me the thought behind it?

Wouldn't it be prettier if the BBcode were stripped out?

It would also lose meaning.
For example:

[url=http://punbb.org/forums/viewtopic.php?id=6859]You might want to try this modification[/url] ;)

versus

You might want to try this modification ;)

Not to mention that stripping it would be very annoying to code. tongue

An extension, possibly, but I doubt it will go in the core.

Yes, I thought the same.. So I created a simple extension.

I chose to remove [ img] and [ url]..

It simply removes BBCodes like 

[b] [i] [u] [email][img] [url][ code][ quote]

but leaves the content as it is.. So an image is displayed as url...

I only have one problem with [ url ].... there's a strange bug in the code =/
