Topic: Banned from my own forum

I'm having a bit of a problem that's a little embarrassing.

A goodly while back, at my last job, I set up a website that used punBB for its discussion forum. Today, just to see how it was going, I checked in on it.

I noticed that there was a lot of spam on the site, so I sent a note to the guy who was now supposed to be maintaining the site. He, however, didn't even have a user account. He signed up for one, and, as I still had administrative privileges, I added him to the Administrators group.

I also, just to see how it worked, banned the user who was adding all the spam. I then deleted the user and all his spam posts.

Now, however, both me and the user I added to the administrators list get the message, "You have been banned from this forum" and aren't allowed to even try to log in. We were the only two administrators.

I'm afraid I don't know what to do. Any suggestions?

Re: Banned from my own forum

Only thing you can do is edit it from the database if you have access.

do you have ftp access?

Sorry. Unactive due to personal life.

Re: Banned from my own forum

I don't, but the server administrator and/or database administrator do.
