Topic: Can't inset linux command in PunBB powered forum

I am posting in a LUG forum powered by PunBB that was created some month ago.
On this forum there is the problem that it is not possible to include inside the text any linux command or the path of files and directories like /etc/fstab. This thing is particularly annoying since it's a forum dedicate to give linux support.
The  administrator of the website until now didn't solve the problem and didn't tell us anything about how long it will take to solve it.

I tried to read the FAQ, do some googling and search the forum for this issue but I could not find anything.

I would like to have some help, just some link that gives explication about the problem, since I don't know absolutely nothing about Apache, php, sql end web developing in general.

Update: I could speak with the administrator.
He told that, since the server is running linux, when you write inside the text some linux command or directory the server thinks to be under attack and gives an error. He also told that it's possible to find a way to solve the problem but this would open a security hole in the server.

Re: Can't inset linux command in PunBB powered forum

Update: the problem is not due to PunBB but to a firewall used in the server.
I apologize for the inappropriate post.
