Topic: [request] Last 20 topics on first page

Is it possible to list last 20 (or so) topics on forum index page? I'm migrating from minibb and users are very fond of this. I know new posts and active topics are there and they work great, but still.

Sure. One can make an extension deals with it.

Where on the index page must the last topics be placed?

Instead of making an extension just to show the las 20 topics, you could make a cool portal (I don't know what to call it). Something like http://ubuntuforums.org/.
