Topic: Why does the install of 1.3 look like this?

Trying a 1.3 install to import an old 1.25 forum into.
Upon installing the 1.3 it looks like it completes but why does it look like this?


http://www.evolved.fm/upload/punbb-1.3/index.php

I want the forum url to be http://www.evolved.fm/forum not /upload/punbb etc. as well.

Not sure but your install file is still there. You need to remove that to prevent hackers.

I deleted it and I am trying to install it. I don't think I had the install files in the correct folder I want the forum to load in. I have everything in http://www.evolved.fm/forums - but when I run http://www.evolved.fm/forums/install.php it says there is already a config.php - i dont see a config.php file in that dir or the admin dir either.

Okay i got it workin. now please tell me I can import my existing forum without issues into thsi one. Existing one is http://www.evolved.fm/forums

But I'm not sure that everything will be Ok during the upgrade process. Are you really sure you do not have modified 'config.php' file or renamed your database or its tables? If you are, then try to upgrade. I would advise you to make another backup of files and database before upgrading.

Anyway if you have correct database and avatars backups we will be able to help you. Make sure you have.

I checked the data base - everything is in there - but my forum is jacked right now. If I try to click on ANYTHING I get Unable to fetch (whatever it is I clicked on) - I did check again to make sure all the data is there. I also did another db backup - using "export" in phpadmin.. I need more help with how I should go about using that backed up data base with 1.3 upgrade.

I have been trying different changes to the config.php and such but I have re-uploaded the unchanged one - and I don't know if the "unable to fetch issues" are related to the config.php - I think they are related to something I may have changed in the DB - one way or another all I want to do is get the postings and everything back in using 1.3 or even 1.2 if i can.
