Topic: Someone post illegally

Ok, when I check my forum, there is new post from someone that is not a member or moderator at all.

The setting "Guest posting" is disable.

And the bad thing, he can post with him status is moderator . He just quote the started thread and I dont know if he can post some text.

Hope the developers can trace this error.

Re: Someone post illegally

Look at my post:

At first I though the user typed Span, but it turns out the defualt title given to guests is v-white | crew. And guest post is enabled wink

Sorry. Unactive due to personal life.

Re: Someone post illegally

No guest post is not enabled.

Does my setting "Guest posting" is right?

Yes, but it is not permission settings. It's just for forcing (or not) guest to type email address.
Go to » Administration  » Users  » Groups  » Edit Guest group

YonasH's repository + Extensions Directory = PunBB Extensions Online Library (in progress....)

Away. I will be back soon.

Re: Someone post illegally

Ups sorry, but this is the setting for guest :

http://www.imghype.com/data/d8e2fe2be4xxsad002.jpg

The User Title is empty and the Allow users to post replies in topics is not checked
and I got error when I try to change the User Title :

Notice: Undefined index: SET in /home/putihwe/public_html/forum/admin/groups.php(440) : eval()'d code on line 10

Re: Someone post illegally

You don't have an old Pun installation in the web directory somewhere, by any chance?

No I don't have any old Pun installation.

The Default group is already guest. I have allowed and disallowed the User permissions, but the result is still guest can reply or post new topic

Even this is not critical but the status of guest is Moderator big_smile

Re: Someone post illegally

Exactly the same problem what I have described in here. I have same settings. Guest posting disabled and only read allowed for guests group. The odd thing is, that it shows anonymous poster group as Member (not Guest). I removed whole forum directory before update and made backup of old one and database. Also replaced config with the one that updater/installer specified.

--edit--
Solved the problem in. Check here http://punbb.informer.com/forums/post/123546/#p123546.
