PunBB as Core for Standalone Site

Hello.

I'm new to PunBB and I wanted to know if there's a "easy" solution for using the forum's functions like login, register, profiling etc. on a standalone site.

I'm currently in works in making a guild-site in Star Wars Galaxies, but I want the site itself to use PunBB's core features and database, so I won't have 2 user tables and different login/register scripts.
I'm also well aware of that I also will need to use PunBB's cookies in order to have the user stay logged in whenever he/she's on the forum or the site.

Any guidelines will be very much appreciated.
