hi there ..
I'm trying to switch from phpbb to punbb ..
I was told to install punbb 1.2 , and then upgrade to 1.3
I installed 1.2 , but before converting , I must install MODs like subforums and pm mod in the 1.2 , because I want to keep these two options database ..
when looking for these two mods , I found this ..

Please note that 1.3 does not have a sub forums mod.
I'm confused , maybe I saw this in fluxBB ..
So I really need to know the difference between them , and nobody answered me ..
I read all the history , but this is not important ..
the most important is to know which will be better in the future ..
Coming back to this subject , ok , i'll not upgrade to 1.3 ..
I need thoose mods for 1.2 to make the switch ..
I tried to install the only mod I found working and :
"You are running a version of PunBB (1.2) that this mod does not support. This mod supports PunBB versions: 1.2.6, 1.2.7, 1.2.8, 1.2.9, 1.2.14, 1.2.20"
another question plz ; this forum is running .2 or .3 ???

No. The OP wanted to ultimatly switch to PunBB 1.3, and I assumed he was going to install 1.2 and then the mods in hope to upgade all of that to 1.3. However 1.3 dosnt have a subforums mod so the OP would be able to use this feature.
There is a working sub-forums extension released for 1.3 though isn't though isn't there?

p.s. how can a punbb support manager be unaware of the latest extensions? Sorry if that is a bad question but it seems like you should be on top of latest releases

User extensions aren't official code.
I know that
But it would make sense for punbb support team to have at least a superficial knowledge of extensions that get released here. Otherwise, they will give misleading advice to newbies as has been seen on this topic.
Officially I don't have to support user made extensions, only PunBB ones 
However, I missed the topic, I don't post in Evey topic as im far to busy now, and because we don't have a central repo for modifications, i don't search the forums for releases.
And i do agree, Our support team should have knowledge of the releases, and in this case I didn't an I apologize Tabaco.
i am really don't think the meaning of it. you take this dangerous switch,give it up.keep on phpbb
