Topic: punbb official forum keeps getting spam attacks
It doesn't really give a good impression when this official forum which is using the latest release keeps suffering spam attacks.

mmm i think those are manual spam, not spam bots. which can be done in any forum software.

The last spam attack was manual spam, not with the use of bots. And we removed it rapidly.

pun_antispam protects now from these attacks, not from posting identical topics.

captcha hasn't been a solution for some time, they are easily broken.

if you have stopped the spam bots, then manual spam problems can only be fixed by (manual people) = hahahaha
kidding.
you dont need to make extra server load, by add 10 anti spam plugins, i know some people have obsessions over that. there is no need, if you have made some experienced people in forum moderators.

If we are talking about automatic spam protection, here is one idea: when a user posts some links, the forum will ask an easy question. If the user answers it correctly, his post will be saved and the forum will rememeber that he is not a bot by setting a cookie. This method will protect from some quantity of spam bot attacks.

don't like them myself, but others are using them.
