I believe it is along the lines of having the first post in a topic always appear at the top of the page. So let's say you go to the third page in a topic. The first post in the thread will still be visible at the top of that page.
At least, I think that's what it's doing?

it has problem sir,
it shows the number of first post of any page as 1 but this is not the first post of the topic.
simply, the post it is marking as 1 is not really the first post of topic.

That's a really nice extension, but it doesn't work for me either. It shows the last post of the previous page as number one.
Edit:
I was wrong, it actually renumbers the post at the top of the current page as number one. I sure hope you get this to work as I would really like to have it.

Sorry I missed your post the other day.
I don't know what kind of mistake is possible. I uninstalled and reinstalled it to make sure. Things look fine in "admin/manage extensions" so I don't know what else I can do. I am using PHP: 5.2.4-2 if that makes any difference.

My apologies KANekT!
I did not understand how it was supposed to work. After much double checking and re-downloading, re-installing, etc, I finally looked at your screen shot in the expanded form and then I saw that the "first post" only works when the box is checked. Since I am still working with a test site, I had not added more posts and thus had not seen the check box. (blush) You can call me an idiot.
I can now report that your extension works very well. Thanks!
