Topic: [FAQ] - Read before posting mods or questions about mods
Q - I've written or am about to write a mod. Now what?
Download the Mod Development Kit (MDK) and follow the included instructions: http://punbb.informer.com/download/mdk-1.2.1.zip
Q - I just installed a mod and now my forum won't work. Who can help me?
First and foremost you should contact the author of the mod, but if you can't seem to get help from him/her, you are welcome to ask in this forum or in the forums at The PunBB Resource. It should be clear though, that mods are not officially part of PunBB. They are products of PunBB enthusiasts who want to add features or otherwise improve PunBB. In other words: If a mod screws up your forum, don't blame PunBB :-)
Q - "Some text" is not on line XXX as stated in the readme.txt. Where is it?
If you previously installed other mods or altered the source code in some other fashion, it is possible that the line of text you are looking for has jumped a few rows up or down relative to the line number stated in the readme. Try searching for the text in your editor.
Q - Where can I find more information about PunBB mods?
