... is there a way to sort all topics on my forum by post count?

I'm trying to generate a list of the most viewed and most posted-to topics for 2011.

Okay.  I don't know how to write an extension.

I have access to the SQL db directly... is it stored in a field there, or is that information generated dynamically?
