Topic: SSL and encryption

Hi,

I just set up punbb for the first time and would like to use it with ssl. Unfortunately, when I try to log in or register over https the only thing that happens is a pop-up window informing me that my data will sent unencrypted.

Can someone give me some hints how to set the forum up over ssl? Also, how do I encrypt the password? The code seems to indicate that I can activate it but how or is it activated y default?

SSL problem solved by not only redirecting by also setting the base_url to https.

Can someone comment on the encryption part? Does 

$cookie_secure=1

enable cookie encryption?

Or in case this is all too low level: is there any documentation on PunBB other than punbb.informer.com/wiki/?
