Portal by Daris was an extension designed only for 1.3, but I've updated it into 1.4.X
You can now use it on your latest PunBB version (1.4.2)
I've applied it on my bengali forum.

Working so far im guessing just fine.
Wanting to move the news boxes up to the top above everything else though, but don't see the option in the panels for news.

Anyone mind sharing on how to fix this?

Here's a screencap showing what's in my panels. The news panel works fine on my portal page... but not showing in the panel options. Not showing in add a new panel either :
