Since my last reply, I have come across these folks: http://www.1and1.co.uk/managed-hosting.

All looks pretty legit so far in terms of managed hosting. Will keep you informed.

Go with GoDaddy.com

HostDepartment are often down sometimes but they got great tech support and affordable pricing.

Namecheap and hostgator are best, but if ur website have massive traffic then u should try vps
