Topic: Forum Chatroom

Hello,

I would like to know if it's possible and if it's not maybe it's a good idea to developp.....is there a way to integrate a chatroom in a punbb forum.
I explain, what i would like it's to login to punbb forum with username and password and then when login it the possibility to access a chatroom directly from the forum, maybe a section on a forum called chatroom in which one we know directly when connecting to the forum who is in the chatroom.
Maybe soemeone has already done that, if this is the case i'm very interesting on how to do this???

Well you could intergrate a BLOG scripts thing at the footer of every page, which could be your chat box.

A blog is a little chat script thats small and can be intergrated in any site.

hi folks,

I know this thread is pretty old but I have the same interest in a chatroom as "kentin".
As my forum is an inter,closed member-forum (we really know each other in rl) I have solved it using a free simple php-chat-script using a txt file.
but thats not the same - it would be nice if the chat automaticly log you on when you enter the forum, display online members, save former chats in db, use private rooms,....
I am not fit enough scripting such a thing but perhaps one of you wink ?
