Topic: set forum to be 800pxl wide centred

hi, newbie here.

Great looking forum, want to integrate it into my own website which is set at 800 wide and centred (tables based)

I have tried altering all nstances of table within the php files to 800 centre but it does not work right.

Is their a fast way to do this.

Thanks in advance

Aha, I read a post that gave me the solution, thanks to that person.  Replaced the entire main code woth his and its solved it, where he used a setting of 95% I just changed it to 800 less the %

Re: set forum to be 800pxl wide centred

ok, I edited the main file, placing the following after the body tag and the div at the end of the file above the body tag

<div style="width: 800px; margin: auto">

This does not appear to have worked.  What I get now is my header and my footer but the middle portion of the page is all the text that should be displayed in terms of the forum but no centre and no borders etc. as seen here.

Re: set forum to be 800pxl wide centred

ok think I have figured out why its not working

I inadvertantly placed my header and footer in place of the ones it came with, putting these back again solved my issue, lol, just have to fiddle a bit now

Re: set forum to be 800pxl wide centred

ok, now its looking exactly the wqay i want it, my header and footer are in place perfectly, however, my header and footer are centred but the forum is left?

Cant seem to move it, anyone got any ideas.

Re: set forum to be 800pxl wide centred

You need to change the stylesheet (css) which you use in your forum. Wdth of the tables are defined.

I used to have the same problem and I could not get rid of the horizontal scroll untill I found this out.:-)
