Topic: Expression Engine users are growing restless

EE is a very nice CMS system, not free or open source though.

Since 1.0 was released about 6 months ago, a couple of modules have been wanting.

This thread follows the conversation of users asking to know where the forum and gallery modules are:

Of interest to PunBB, this was posted in this thread:

slinky, if you want to integrate a forum into EE, you're better off using PunBB.
It at least uses the same password scheme, which Invsion and phpBB do not.

Re: Expression Engine users are growing restless

Seems like a nice product. I haven't tried it out though. Have you?

It always amuses me how some companies choose to market their products:

"ExpressionEngine supports cutting-edge security features, like 160 bit SHA1 password encryption ..."

Whoa! They put sha1 instead of md5 in the source. Now that takes effort! :)

"Programming is like sex: one mistake and you have to support it for the rest of your life."

Yes, I installed and tested the 14 day trial.

A forum post on the EE forums led me to Nucleus just when my trial was running out.

After having used EE for 14 days, I felt right at home in Nucleus.
