i think it is, but i dont think copyrights apply to domains.....
i think they do, someone got in trouble for having mikerosoft.com and someone else nearly for mikerowesoft.com (however it was his real name so he got away clean lol)
Domains are working on a first come first serve base. No copyrights, no nothing! You grab it, it's yours

There are rules against domain squatting i.e. registering a domain which you have no use for simply to try and sell it to the business that actually has that name. In certain circumstances you can get the domain de-registered or transferred for a nominal fee.
Copyright may not apply to domains as such but you can still sue for trademark infringement.
