Topic: How come....

i know how to fix that bad http_referer thingy, i fix it by having to disable my firewall when i want to update my profile or forums, how come i dont have to disable it when updating my profile here?!?!?! i'm using "Norton Internet Security" as my firewall

As far as I know the referrer check does not effect ordinary members which is why it is not a problem here.

You do not need to disable NIS you just need to set it up to allow referrer information from the site where your forum is situated. See below
