Topic: PHP version is too old

First of all. I really like the clean look and the speed of your board. Secondly, I would love to use it as an alternative board on my site for those who do not want to use my other (image rich) board.

Anyway, I just realized that I am running PHP v4.0.6; Apache v1.3.22 on my server and my host says we will be upgrading soon, so it looks like I won't be able to use the punbb for a little while.

Do you happen to have a version that will run with PHP v4.0.6? I checked 1.1.5, 1.1.4 and 1.1.3 and they all require a higher verion of PHP than I am running.

Thanks in advance.

Re: PHP version is too old

Unfortunately not. 4.1.0 is the absolute minimum. Considering 4.1.0 was released in november 2001, your host really needs to shape up :)

Re: PHP version is too old

yes, i cant stand hosts that dont upgrade. its nice, easy, and fast.

ekk... i just looked at my hosting, looks like were only using 4.3.8 for php and 4.0.2 for mysql. i dont really care about this, cause its free for a year, with so many advantages

Yes I agree. My host needs to get on the ball. I will keep on them to upgrade PHP faster than anticipated. Thanks for the replies and I hope to have punbb running on my site soon.

Woody is very stable, been running it for the last couple of years without a hiccup.

Still OT, the only downtime for me has been electricity, moving the server or Kernel updates.
