Topic: pefered database?
just out of interest what database do you use for punbb (mysql/postgresql) and if you could what database type would you use?

me too, i have plan to create DBLayer for Firebird SQL becuase it one file database easy backup and restore easy admin it etc.. but the problem not support by my hoster.

I would use MySQL because it is faster for PunBB. PostgreSQL has lots of features MySQL lacks, but PunBB doesn't utilize a lot of them.

I think sybase it is original of MSSQL
so it has "Stored procedures" , Triggers , UDFs , Two file database
Transactions , Concurrency Transactions, Commit and Rollback
