Topic: A few things...

Hi,

I installed a PunBB board on my site a while ago, but then went to the PunBB++
Version: Alpha 1 Because it simply had more of what I wanted. smile There are a few things that I want to add but am afraid of what could work and what wouldn't work based on that in the PunBB++ version some of the code may work but some may not...

One thing I would like to do is be able to give normal members a flag change so that they can go to forums that normal members cannot. I think I saw something like this on the forum when I did a search, but again I'm not sure if it would actually work. The reason being I want some people to be able to be able to help me out with beta testing and then use that forum without them having to be a moderator smile

Another thing I want to do is use part of the forums (the news forum once I get all the old posts cleaned up) to be able to feed a news page on my main site  (http://subsoap.com)  I'm not sure what the page would have to be for getting the news, and displaying it in the right visual format (there are little colored blocks that I would like each news post to be inside of) Easy options inside of the script like changing the amount of total news posts viewed, and then another page that lists all of the posts, their date, and name would be good. Each post would only need a date and the post title...

Also, have you taken a look at the extern.php in PunBB already?

So you are sure they will work? o.o remember I'm not using regualer PunBB and the database might not work 0_o

And I don't understand the other one xD

Is there any documentation on how to use extern.php? 0.o

open it using notepad.You can find instruction in it.

I think he was referring to the user group system that is already implemented in the next version of PunBB, 1.2.
