Topic: topics/posts entered twice

hi,

I am running punbb forum on my site and i am facing a peculiar problem. Some posts/toptics are getting inserted twice, basically someone posts a new topic and it is inserted twice within a gap of say a few seconds.

This is happening at random times.

Please help

sounds like someone sends the stuff more than once ...

in Admin-options, find the "Flood interval" setting, and make it larger (if it's 0 now, add 20-30 sec, then people cannot post more often than that ...)

might solve it... might not ... but worth a try (if the host is slow, ppl sometimes try to submit more than once ... or they may correct spelling issues and press submit again ... I see this alot on another foum(not a PunBB forum) I'm on where the server is severly overloaded sometimes... and some people post 2-3 posts...)

Indeed very odd. Especially since you say it's happening randomly. Could you perhaps try to find a pattern?

i am not sure about the pattern but it is happening at random, and moreover this has started to happen in my tables also, could this be a bug in MySQL.

As for flooding, the posts are separated by 10-20 seconds so i am not sure it is the case.
